Forward Path Receiver Modules


The LB-1000-FR forward path receiver modules convert downstream optical signals into RF signals at the headend or remote hubs. The LB-1000-FR receivers come in single channel and dual channel models. The dual channel forward receivers provide optical/RF backup and switching functions. The LB-1000-FR forward receivers incorporate a low noise PIN detector and RF amplifier chain. Internal selectable RF attenuators can be switched in or out to control RF output levels. Module parameters can be monitored and configured through the LB-1000-CM system management control module using the touch screen or by using a PC (web GUI or SNMP agent).

  • Bandwidth: 1 GHz module = 47-1000 MHz; 1.2 GHz module = 47-1218 MHz
  • -6 to +2 dBm optical input range
  • Optical automatic/manual gain control (AGC/MGC)
  • ≥ 30 dBmV high output level
  • 15 dB slope control
  • RF output level control
  • RF output test point
  • Dual channel forward receiver can perform automatic optical/RF switching to ensure uninterrupted output signal
  • Local or remote monitoring using the LB-1000-CM system management control module touch screen, web GUI or SNMP
