Remote PHY Node (RPN)

Description

Part of Harmonic’s CableOS™ software-based CCAP solution, the CableOS Ripple-1 Remote PHY node (RPN) is a hardened outdoor enclosure for networks tasked with delivering high-speed data, video and voice services over coax. Ripple-1 houses the Pebble-1 Remote PHY device (RPD) and connects with CableOS Core CMTS software to support evolving fiber deep deployments while allowing for future network growth. The RPN features an integrated RF launch amplifier that provides superior RF performance and built-in remote configuration functionality. For added reliability, Ripple-1 supports a dual redundant power supply option with included temperature sensing and AC input and DC output voltage monitoring.

  • Full DOCSIS 3.0/3.1, VOD, SDV and linear broadcast Remote PHY functionality
  • Supports up to 1218 MHz forward and 204 MHz return bandwidth
  • Integrated modular RF launch amplifier with four high-output level ports
  • Houses single or dual RPDs for network growth with automatically configured segmentation
